About the team & role:
The Data and Analytics organization is an exciting blend of data, business, and technology. Through the use of industry-leading technologies, the Data and Analytics team at Progress designs and develops enterprise-wide reporting, visualizations and analytic solutions.
At their core, BI analysts at Progress are strong in quantitative data analysis, but also want to balance that with their interest in business. We stand at the intersection of the business and IT; and standing at this intersection provides a premier opportunity to further develop your career in data and analytics with the most innovative technologies while being exposed to many aspects of the business.
In this role, you will:
- Support the development and implementation of BI solutions under the guidance of senior team members
- Collaborate with a team of BI analysts to contribute to BI development efforts
- Build dashboards and reports to track KPIs, identify trends, and monitor the business
- Assist in translating business questions into data-driven analysis
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions and help communicate solutions to business stakeholders
- Learn to break down business problems into specific, answerable data questions
- Contribute to maintaining and improving existing reporting solutions
- Analyze and reconcile data to do a thorough analysis on data quality
- Some experience or strong academic background in an analytical or data-related role
- Familiarity with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau or Power BI
- Basic to intermediate proficiency with SQL
- Understanding and experience with automation as well as leveraging AI
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Good communication skills in English — ability to present findings clearly
- Analytical and curious mindset with a genuine interest in business
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods
- Ability to manage your own tasks and flag blockers proactively
- Any exposure to Marketing, Sales, Engineering or Support data and reporting
- Basic knowledge of data originating from Oracle, Salesforce or Eloqua
- Working knowledge of statistics
